Pike Pole collects nothing. It has no account system, no analytics, no advertising and no network connection of any kind. Everything you do in the game stays stored on your own device.
What the app stores on your device
Pike Pole keeps your progress so a winter is where you left it the next time you open the app:
- Season progress — the current pond, records, unlocked almanac pages and honours are written to a save file that lives only inside the app's own storage.
- Settings — sound, music, haptics and reminder preferences are kept in the device's standard app-settings storage (UserDefaults).
None of this ever leaves your device. There is no server to send it to.
Camera
The camera is used only if you choose "Take a portrait" while making a harvest certificate at the end of a season. iOS asks your permission the first time you do this, and the picture you take is processed and saved only inside the app — it is never uploaded anywhere. If you decline the camera, or your device has no camera, you can pick a photo from your library instead.
Photo library
If you choose a portrait from your library instead of the camera, Pike Pole uses Apple's standard photo picker. That picker shows you your library and hands the app only the single picture you choose — the app never sees or lists any other photo. The chosen picture is styled to the game's palette and saved inside the app for your certificate.
Notifications
If you switch on the optional "Morning almanac" reminder in Settings, the app asks iOS to schedule a single local notification each day. This is created entirely on your device — nothing is sent to or received from a server. You can turn it off at any time.
What we do not do
- No account, sign-in or profile of any kind.
- No analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking.
- No advertising and no third-party advertising SDKs.
- No in-app purchases.
- No network requests — the game works, and was built to work, fully offline.
- No data is shared with, or sold to, anyone, because none is collected.
App Store data disclosure
In line with the above, Pike Pole's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."
Children's privacy
Pike Pole is a general-audience historical strategy game. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future update adds a genuinely new feature — the new version will be published at this same address with an updated date below.
